Well, I had good plans for this Lenten season. I was going to Morning Prayer every day, and Evening Prayer or Compline every night. Well, I’ve done pretty well with Morning Prayer, at least on weekdays, but the Evening Prayer/Compline hasn’t really happened much.

I am really enjoying being a part of the Morning Prayer on dailyoffice.org, and participating in that group is turning out to be a great way to be part of something I can’t really get in the United Methodist Church. I haven’t been able to attend the last couple of prayer services on the site, and I’ve missed it.

I have been reviving my Bible study and Koine Greek study a little bit, but not to the extent that I keep wanting to achieve. Despite the name of this blog, I haven’t really relied on the readings from the Book of Common Prayer as much as I’d like to.

I guess if I had to grade myself as to my Lenten “performance” (which I know is absurd), I’d probably give myself a C+. Still, I do feel more connected to Lent than I have in the past few years, mainly due to the aforementioned Morning Prayer experience.

Onwards and upwards!
